THE POWER OF THANKS AND GIVING
We are living in very taxing times. The last few years have not been easy for many and most of us are feeling the emotional weight of how some have chosen NOT to value the lives of a particular group of human beings.
I trust you will also agree some of our leaders have chosen NOT to mirror civility, emotional intelligence, consolation, good-naturedness, soul caring and serenity for humanity.
During this holiday season, our ability to open our heart for thankfulness, giving, forbearance, compassion, and peace is being tested. This can make it easy for some to latch onto the negative spiral and ride it all the way down. They can choose to feel that they cannot afford to scale the wall of negativity and fear.
That is, some can hold on to fear and stumble in the diversions that are keeping them from having a change of heart and becoming an individual force for good rather than putting the spotlight on soul caring, emotional intelligence, thanks, giving and gratitude. Moreover, if the idea of circulating joy, wealth, prosperity, fulfillment, affluence makes them uncomfortable, they can remain as they are.
I believe, these individuals have a choice regarding the unyielding secret of the bucket and the dipper. That is, when they fill another's bucket it does not take anything out of their own bucket.
The level in their own bucket gets higher when they fill another person’s bucket, and on the other hand, when they dip into another's bucket by not treating every human being with dignity and civility, they do not fill their own.
Consequently, they will not experience the satisfaction connected with acknowledging that there is a depth of presence in every woman, man, boy and girl across this blue planet. In the heart of this thanks and giving moment, a heart is a terrible thing to ignore. We are called to put aside our dipper and resolve to reach beyond the current circumstances and renew our commitment to:
Reconnect with what we are grateful for in our life.
Amaze ourselves and arouse those around us to the potential of each new day.
I also believe the more we can arise each morning with a commitment to move beyond the boundaries of our ego, and do the work to transform our life to one in which we bring new dimensions of emotional intelligence into the life we desire, the greater the shift to:
Having a change of a heart to create new conditions where we quench our thirst for the power of thanks and giving, not when things are going smoothly, but particularly when we are more challenged.
Recognizing the beauty of our planet earth and acknowledging that there is a depth of presence in every woman, man, boy and girl across this blue planet.
Being open to receive from others in gratitude, whether it be in the form of a material gift, money, a compliment, or a conscious plea.
Taking responsibility for the authorship of our own life. A life of exceptional MEANING through the process of circulating compassion, prosperity, fulfillment, and harmony.
Some of the critical steps to finding the expression of what lights our fire and creating the life we desire.
THE ULTIMATE POWER OF THANKS AND GIVING
